• Meet Mr. Brockway

Welcome to fifth grade! I am so excited for a great year of building relationships, exploration, and learning. If you'd like to know a little bit more about me, you've come to the right place. I graduated from Kent State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. Since I felt that Kent State hadn't already taken enough of my money as an undergrad, I returned there to complete a Master's Degree in Educational Administration.

I have been teaching in Hudson since 1999 where I began as a 2nd grade teacher at Hudson Elementary. After teaching 2nd grade for 5 years, I graduated to 5th grade where I spent 6 years teaching Language Arts and Social Studies and one year teaching Social Studies and Science. Then, I moved to 4th grade to teach Language Arts and Social Studies for 2 year. Since then, I have bounced around between 4th and 5th grade several times as I taught all subjects on a co-teaching team. This year, I am excited to begin a new adventure working with Mrs. Denges and Mr. Lehman.
On a personal level, I married my high school sweetheart in 1997, and we have two adult daughters who graduated from Hudson High school and are currently attending Kent State University and majoring in early childhood education. I enjoy bowling, skiing, and playing pinball and board games with my family. I am also the head coach of the Hudson High School bowling teams.
