Evamere Intergrated Preschool
The Hudson City Schools offers an integrated preschool program that strives to provide an environment that positively encourages the physical, social, emotional, adaptive, aesthetic, intellectual, and language development of each unique child in a safe and nurturing setting.
Our preschool provides early intervention and educational foundation for all children, including children with disabilities. Small class sizes and a variety of instructional strategies enable our students to realize their unique potentials while exploring their environment and developing in many areas as they prepare for kindergarten. Each classroom has students with special needs as well as typically developing peer models. Licensed special education teachers teach the classes and differentiate the curriculum to meet the needs of all our learners. Our maximum class size is 12 children with a teacher and 2 teacher aides in the classroom for a student-adult ratio of 4:1 or less. The preschool classes are in session 4 days per week (Monday-Thursday). The AM session is 9:00-11:45 and PM Session is 1:00-3:45. Placement is based on the school district’s Kindergarten zones (AM is North of 303, PM is South of 303 & East of Hudson-Aurora Road)
Integrating children with varying abilities provides our young children with a belief system that is conducive to positive character building and overall compassion. The preschool program accepts applications for peers each year in January followed by a screening day in February. Dates for the applications and screening are announced on the school’s website and in the Hudson Hub.
If you have concerns about your child ages 3-5 or would like more information for the integrated preschool program, please contact Beth Trivelli (330-653-1226 x 1350).
