• Location:

The attendance office is located at the “E” door entrance by the auditorium. All students should enter through the attendance office vestibule after the doors have locked. Tardy students will be issued a pass to class.

    Call out procedure:

Parents should report their student’s absence by calling the attendance line (330-653-1300) as soon as possible in the morning.  Students must sign in/out at the attendance office when arriving/leaving, which is where you will pick them up as well.  A parent does not need to enter the building to drop off/pick up the student if the attendance line has already been called.

    Advanced Absences:

When a student knows that he/she will be absent from school, he/she is required to fill out an Advance Absence Form. This form requires a parent signature, and a mutual agreement between the teachers and the student on an acceptable make-up due date validated by all of the student's teachers. This is then turned in to the attendance secretary. It is mutually understood that the sole responsibility for the completion of the advance absence notice and the make up of classroom work belongs to the student.  Any absence that is not a state approved absence, as listed in the online student handbook, pages 10-11, requires an administrator's (principal) signature for approval.

    Last minute appointments:

If an appointment is scheduled last minute, the call out procedure is the same. The quickest method to notify the attendance office is through the attendance line (330-653-1300.) If the student is unaware of the appointment, you may also call the main office and request a note be sent to the student. (330-653-1416).  Students must sign in/out at the attendance office when arriving/leaving. A parent does not need to enter the building to drop off/pick up the student if the attendance line has already been called.

    Medical/Dental appointments:

If an appointment is scheduled during the school day, the call out procedure is the same. The quickest method to notify the attendance office is through the attendance line (330-653-1300.) The student should stop by the attendance office in the morning to obtain a note to give the teacher at the time of their departure. If you have called your child out using the attendance line, you do not need to come into the building to drop off/pick up the student.  A note is required upon the return to school for a medical or dental appointment to be excused.
