       ***NEW: Senior picture day will now be Monday February 1st and Tuesday February 2nd in the lobby of the auditorium. VLO students may come in between 8:00-9:00 am on either of those days and we will begin with the rest of the seniors starting at 9:00. 

       *** Attention Juniors: Applications for next year's New Dimensions class are now available in the Guidance Office. Applications are due on January 29th.  Please see Mrs. Scharlotte or Mr. Chiorian if you have any questions. 

        ***Free Meals through School Year!! USDA has made funding available to provide free meals for all students for the 20/21 school year. Please, take the meals! When you eat school meals, you help our schools receive more funding, save time prepping meals and extend your food budget. If you have questions about this program, please call the Nutrition Services office at 330-653-1203.

       *** :January 2021 Remote Meals Information: If you are interested in picking up meals for your student's remote learning days, please click the link below. It will take you to the "Remote Meals Information" page of the school's website, where there is more information and a link to sign up for these meals.

       *** All student "school" and "course" fees have now been uploaded onto your student accounts.  Please check the Home Access Center for your balance.  The preferred method of payment is to submit it online through MyPaymentsPlus or you may also submit a check made payable to "HCSD" to Holly Rubin in the main office.  If you have any questions regarding fees, please contact the main office.

       ***Parking Passes for the 2020/2021 school year - Please note we will NOT be collecting money for parking passes. The fee will be assigned to your My Payments Plus at the time all school fees are applied. The link to apply for a pass is on the Hudson High School website. Once you fill out the form please stop by the main office to pick up the pass. 



    There are a lot of variables present when students are learning from home. It is best for the student to report any issues to his or her teacher and work with the teacher first to rule out an issue with the link, password, etc.  
    From there, we have links posted on the COVID-19 remote learning website under Need Help? to receive further support. In grades 6-12, we request students/parents fill out the form for iPads so we can properly diagnose the issue with needed information and work on a solution. 

        ***Flex Passes for the 2020/2021 school year can be picked up in the main office. Please make sure all your final forms are completed. 

        ***We are going to try and continue the Thursday After-School Tutoring Program 3-4:30 this year.  It will be done virtually and I will establish a regular Zoom conference (code and password forthcoming) for students to join when they have questions for our NHS tutors.  When students arrive for help, there (if all goes well) will be NHS tutors whom I will pair with the students in breakout rooms.        *** Seniors:   Scholarships have become available and are now listed in Naviance.  This list is constantly changing and new scholarships are added daily.  Please check Naviance often.  The completed list of all local scholarships is normally completed by the end of January.

    Please follow these steps:

    On the top right of your screen, go to > Colleges

    Click on > Scholarships and Money

    then > Scholarship List

    then> local and regional scholarships

    Once you find a scholarship you would like to apply for, click on the name of the scholarship.  You will see how to apply.  Some will be a google doc and some will have an application that will need to be printed.  Please pay close attention to the deadline and the instructions. 

    If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Mrs. Golden or Mrs. Rightnour in the Guidance office. 

       ***Seniors - Transcript Request Reminder - Don’t forget to request for your transcripts to be sent to the colleges you have applied to in Naviance.  You will need to apply to the colleges before submitting a transcript request. Counselors need 10 school days to process this request.
