    Drop-off/Pick-up

In an effort to keep our preschool and 2nd grade students as safe as possible, please be reminded of the following information regarding the parent drop-off/pick-up line:

    Drop-off

    • Students may be dropped off between 8:45 and 9:00 am at Entrance A.
    • Parents may drop your child off near the front of the door rather than pulling up to the Parent Pick-Up Stop Here sign because the only staff members at the entrance in the morning are assigned to individual students and may not be able to assist or supervise other students as they enter the building.
    • Students should exit the car door on the side closest to the building.
    • Parents should refrain from getting out of the car to drop off children unless absolutely necessary; if you believe it may take a significant period of time to help your child and/or you want to conference with a staff member, please consider pulling into a parking spot.
    • Parents should wait until the car in front moves forward before exiting the lot.

    Pick-up

    • Students should be picked up at 3:45 pm at Entrance A.
    • Parents should pull up to the Parent Pick-Up Stop Here sign; there is staff on duty to ensure that students get to their cars safely.
    • Students should enter the car door on the side closest to the building.
    • Parents should refrain from getting out of the car when picking up children unless absolutely necessary; if you believe it may take a significant period of time to help your child and/or you want to conference with a staff member, please consider pulling into a parking spot.
    • Parents should wait until the car in front moves forward before exiting the lot.

Since we have preschool students in our building, the rules are modified slightly for them due to safety concerns due to size and in some cases disability.  Unfortunately, parking is limited and it might be more of a hazard to ask preschool parents to park and walk their child across the lot to the door; though I do encourage preschool parents to utilize a parking spot if they want to talk with a teacher or schedule a conference.

Hopefully we can all work together to make the drop-off/pick-up line as safe as possible for all students!
