Degrees and Certifications:
Greetings from the Evamere Music Room!
My name is Linda Miller. This year I will be the music teacher for 10 of our First Grade classes and 7 of our Full-Day Kindergarten classes. This is my 13th year teaching at Evamere, and I'm looking forward to another wonderful year with your children!
I have a Bachelors of Music Education from The College of Wooster, and have taught elementary (K-5) music in Dublin, Ohio and Bloomfield Hills, Michigan before settling in Hudson. I have also taught private piano lessons. I grew up in the Pittsburgh area, and have also lived in Michigan, Florida, Oklahoma and Massachusetts with my family. I have performed in school and church choirs and musical theatre most of my life; I have accompanied many soloists/groups and traveled on performance tours across the USA and Canada with church and college choirs. I love to pass along the joy of music to young students!
My husband Doug and I settled our family here in Hudson 19 years ago. Our sons, Ben and Danny, are grown now, living and working in Columbus and Chicago, respectively. Ben and our daughter-in-law Maggie are expecting our first grandchild in October. Danny and his lovely bride, Sammi, will be married in early November in Chicago. We have a busy fall in store with our beautiful growing family! We love living in Hudson, and seeing many of my students around town! In my spare time, I like to walk, bike, bake, read and travel, especially to California, New England and around the Great Lakes. I love to attend orchestra, choral and musical theatre productions whenever I can. I also love yellow Labs!
In the Evamere music classroom, we are busy every day singing, dancing, moving, playing instruments, listening to and creating music. It is a happy place where children begin to explore the world of music, and become young musicians themselves. Be sure to ask your child to teach you a song or two from music class each week; they will be proud to do so!
Thank you for your support of our young musicians!
