Trees and Shrubs at East Woods Entrance Drive

When one of our leaders, Mitch Fromm, moved into his house at the entrance to East Woods in 1995, he made the observation, “Where are the woods?”  Other than a few mature trees, the entrance was just grass.  The next year, he proposed that the District landscape both sides of the driveway entrance, and he would fund it.  The District accepted his offer, and planted dozens of trees and shrubs.  More recently, ReGreen has involved students in planting even more trees and shrubs in this area.  This area is far more beautiful and ecologically valuable today, than it was thirty years ago.
