An Update on the Harmony Project

An Update on the Harmony Project

HUDSON, OH - The district is excited to provide an update on the Harmony Performing Arts Project!

Thanks to the generosity of our community, in March 2026, we held the groundbreaking for the new Orchestra Room. Millstone Management Group, our construction manager has assured us that we are on track to complete the project by the end of 2026. This is exciting news for the students who will be using this beautiful, brand-new space in 2027 and beyond!

The Harmony Performing Arts Project is a public-private partnership between Hudson City Schools and the Hudson City Schools Foundation. The District leads the design, construction, and ownership of the facilities and has invested more than $1.5 million toward the project. The Foundation leads the private campaign and is the entity through which the charitable gifts to Harmony are made, recognized and stewarded. Gifts are held in the dedicated Harmony Fund at the Hudson Community Foundation.

Without the generous support of private donations, this project would not be possible.

We are ready to kick off Phase Two. Yes, there’s more! This phase will encompass the renovation of the Hudson High School auditorium, and the renovations of our current band and choir rooms. The auditorium, the heart of every concert, musical, and community performance, has served more than three decades of extensive use. The band and choir rooms retain original finishes never designed for today’s programs. Together we can create instructional and performance spaces that match the talent of our students.

The community has already shown what it will do for Hudson’s students, and we are eager to complete the project. You will be hearing more about how you and others may participate in our continued success during the next several weeks.

We appreciate everyone who has contributed to this project thus far in any way.  Each contribution has helped move this project into Phase Two.  A list of donors can be found on the district website HERE
