Director of Technology to Join Hudson City Schools

HUDSON, OH - Hudson City Schools is pleased to announce the selection of Ryan Morton as the new Director of Technology, pending Board of Education approval.

Most recently, Morton was the Technology Integration Specialist with South Euclid Lyndhurst City Schools.  While in that role, he was an integral part of the AI committee, served as the lead for district Student Information Systems (SIS), and led the course development for STEM programming K-8.  Prior to that role, Morton was an Instructional Technology Coach with the Parma City School District.  He began his career in education as an English language arts teacher.

In his new role with Hudson City Schools, Morton will lead the technology department, while enhancing cybersecurity and ensuring our digital tools support our staff and students.

“We are thrilled to have Ryan join our administrative team here in Hudson and lead our technology department,” said Hudson Superintendent Dana Addis.  “Technology is always changing and evolving, and we believe Ryan’s forward-thinking approach will serve our district well.”

Morton received his Bachelor’s Degree in English from Cleveland State University and earned a Master’s Degree in Instructional Technology from Kent State University.

He will officially begin the new position August 1, 2026, but will have several transition days in Hudson throughout the summer.
