Hudson City Schools Adds Additional AED's to Campus

HUDSON, OH - Ohio Governor Mike DeWine signed House Bill 47 into law on July 23, 2024, making it a requirement to have life-saving AED's (automatic external defibrillators) in public schools.

Hudson City Schools has had AED's on our campus for nearly two decades, but recently added two more. We now have 31 AED's in total throughout our school buildings, Memorial Stadium, Lavelli and Malson fields, the Malson Athletic Building, and more.

According to the American Heart Association, sudden cardiac arrest is the No. 1 killer of student-athletes — however, nine out of 10 victims survive if they receive a shock from an AED in the first minute after an incident.
