New Unit Principal to Join Hudson High School

HUDSON, OH -  Hudson City Schools is pleased to announce the selection of Alex Popovich as the new Unit Principal at Hudson High School.  His hiring was approved at the Hudson Board of Education meeting in late June.

Popovich comes to Hudson from the Twinsburg City School District, where he held several positions over the past 23 years.  His educational career began there as an English Language Arts teacher.  He later served as an Athletic Director and Assistant Principal, before most recently serving as a Curriculum Supervisor.  

“Throughout the interview process, Alex demonstrated a strong commitment to building relationships, supporting both students and staff, and continuing the tradition of excellence that defines Hudson High School,” said Mike Miller, Principal at Hudson High School.  “I am excited for our school community to benefit from his leadership and expertise.” 

Popovich earned his Bachelor's Degree in Education from Youngstown State University and his Masters Degree in Educational Administration from John Carroll University.

He will officially begin the new position in Hudson on August 1, 2026.
