HMS Students Place in Holocaust Visual Art and Writing Contest

HUDSON, OH - Hudson Middle School is proud to announce the winners for the 37th Annual Holocaust Arts & Writing Contest. This year's 2025 contest theme was Lessons of the Holocaust: Countering Discrimination, Apathy & Denial. Winners were selected based on interpretation of the contest theme, rooted in Holocaust, technique and originality. 

Congratulations to Lexi Rowell, who placed third in the Visual Arts category.

Honorable Mentions in Visual Arts include: Aisley Amato, Leighton Archer, Elias Hutchinson, Jace Ridley, Zachary Tomaswick, Eliana Vitale, Ava Thomas, Fiona Kloss, Elizabeth Adair, Leila Dougherty, Ellie Morris, Manuela Gallo, George Paul, Jason Hackenberg, Megan Loughrey, and Connell Glass.

Brooke Sutton, Seraphina Voytilla, and Chloe McRae all received Honorable Mention awards in the writing category.

Students will have their winning pieces on display throughout the spring at the Akron-Summit Main Library.
