*** The College Admissions & ACT Preparation Seminar will be held on Thursday, October 8th (for students with last names beginning with A to L), and Friday, October 9th (for students with last names beginning with M to Z) from 8:15 am to 3:00 pm, in the auditorium here. Learn about strategies to increase your ACT test score as well as gain college application insights. Sign up for just $59 at https://nlpohio.com by Wednesday, October 7th. Signing up early is advised as seating is limited due to spacing restrictions in the auditorium.

*** Parking Passes for the 2020/2021 school year - Please note we will NOT be collecting money or distributing any parking passes until the school year starts this fall. The link is on the Hudson High School website.

****We are going to try and continue the Thursday After-School Tutoring Program 3-4:30 this year. It will be done virtually and I will establish a regular Zoom conference (code and password forthcoming) for students to join when they have questions for our NHS tutors. When students arrive for help, there (if all goes well) will be NHS tutors whom I will pair with the students in breakout rooms. We are fortunate to have Claudia Wenzel, from John Carroll University, present on how to complete the FAFSA and funding your college education. This event will be virtual through zoom. A link will be sent prior to the presentation to all junior and senior families, including the presentation and handout. Additionally this link will be posted in the freshmen, sophomore, junior and senior guidance classrooms. Families will have the opportunity to ask questions after the presentation is completed. Although much of the information to be presented is geared toward senior year activities, it is beneficial for junior families to hear as well, so that they are prepared for their turn next Fall.Don't miss out on this wonderful opportunity to connect and learn more about the financial aid process!***The week of 9/21 visit virtually with the following schools: Miami University - Oxford, Villanova University, Marietta College, Savannah College of Art and Design, Transylvania University, University of KY, University of Alabama, Davidson College, Ohio Wesleyan University, John Carroll University, Ohio State University and the University of Rochester. You will need to sign into your Naviance account in order to register for these virtual visits. Questions-come see us in the Guidance Office.*** Attention Seniors - if you are considering applying to Davidson College, there are two highly sought after scholarships that cover full tuition. Students must be nominated by their counselor. Therefore, if you will be applying to Davidson and would like to be interviewed to be nominated for these scholarships, please let the guidance office know your name and we will set up an interview with your counselor.** Attention Seniors and Juniors - Virtual college visits have begun. Please sign into Naviance to take a look at who will be visiting virtually with our students.
