Shoe Drive Supports Student Assistance Fund/Micro-entreprenaurs!

On behalf of the Service Learning program at Hudson High School, we are starting a shoe drive. We are working with the Hudson Community Foundation to collect new or gently used shoes. The money that we raise will go to the Hudson Student Assistance Fund, which provides help for students facing financial hardship. Not only do you help local students and families, but the shoes also go to micro-entrepreneurs in developing nations like Haiti, creating jobs by repurposing and reselling the shoes. It’s a double donation!

The collection began on Monday, February 10th and ends Friday, March 20th. All types of new or gently used shoes are accepted. Drop off locations will be at each school’s main office in the district. Our goal is to collect 2,500 pairs of shoes giving the fund a profit of $1,000.

    Your donations are greatly appreciated!
