A Message from the HHS Counseling Department, 3/19/2020

From the HHS Counseling Department:

In response to the recent decision to close all schools in the state of Ohio, the Hudson High School Guidance & Counseling office would like to extend our support to you at home.  We understand that this is a unique situation; therefore, we wanted to provide the following information and resources to you:

Please feel free to contact your school counselor via email if you have any issues/questions pertaining to school related items, grade concerns, or scheduling issues for next school year.  We will be checking our email regularly and will have “office hours” every Tuesday and Thursday from 9 am to 11 am. If you have social/emotional concerns that need immediate assistance, you are encouraged to use the 24-hour Support Hotline: (800).273.8255. Students can also text 4HOPE to 741741 if they are in crisis (this is a free, 24/7 text line).

Just a reminder that students and parents are welcome to visit our Guidance & Counseling webpage for other information, announcements, and forms: The HS Guidance & Counseling Department has also created a mental wellness google classroom. The code to join is: g7h2m6c. The District’s online resources related to the COVID-19 virus for students and families can be found here: Students and parents can also access remote learning support here:

Very important: We ask that students are checking their Hudson email accounts throughout the day in case counselors need to communicate with them for various needs (i.e. scheduling questions, check-ins, upcoming deadlines, summer opportunities, etc.).

Please know that although we are not able to meet with students face-to-face during this period of time, we are still here to provide as much support as possible to help students transition to this new reality that we are all facing.
