District Awarded Certificate of Excellence for Financial Reporting.

 

Hudson City School District earns the Association of School Business Officials International, ASBO’s Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting.

 

Hudson City Schools – The Association of School Business Officials (ASBO) has awarded the Hudson City School District the Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting. ASBO’s International’s Certificate of Excellence recognizes districts that have met the program’s high standards for financial reporting and transparency. Hudson Schools earned the Certificate of Excellence (COE) for its Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for the fiscal year ended 2020.

“The COE’s mission is to promote and recognize excellence in financial reporting, “ASBO International Executive Director David Lewis says, “The Comprehensive  Annual Financial Report informs stakeholders about the financial and economic state of the district, making it an important communications tool for building trust and engaging with the school community.”

Treasurer Phillip Butto credits the meticulous work of his staff in all that they do on a daily basis as well as for the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report. “We work as team and believe strongly that what we do has a positive impact on our district, its staff and students.”

“We are fortunate to have such a dedicated and outstanding treasurer in Phillip Butto and his staff,” says Superintendent Phil Herman. “I want to commend Phillip and his staff for a job well done. By participating in the Certification process, Hudson Schools demonstrates our commitment financial transparency.”
