Hudson City Schools Hires New Elementary Principal

HUDSON, OH - The Hudson Board of Education has approved the hiring of Jennifer Hall to serve as the district’s new principal for McDowell Early Learning School, beginning with the 2024-25 school year.

Hall, a graduate of Hudson City Schools, currently serves as the principal of West Elementary School in the New Philadelphia City Schools District. Prior to that time, she was an elementary teacher in the Ridgewood Local School District in West Lafayette, Ohio.

“We are thrilled to have Mrs. Hall joining our team in Hudson,” said Hudson Superintendent Dana Addis. “She is a great addition for working with our youngest learners in preschool and kindergarten, as well as the caring staff we have at McDowell.”

Hall earned her undergraduate and masters degrees from The Ohio State University in Columbus. She is currently working on her doctorate degree, also through The Ohio State University.

“I am excited to be coming home, as I grew up in Hudson and graduated from this district,” said Hall. “I know that Hudson is a great community and I look forward to meeting all the new parents whose children begin their educational journey at McDowell Early Learning.”

The incoming McDowell principal is set to officially begin her new position on August 1, 2024. She will have several transition days in Hudson prior to that official start date.

Hall is replacing Beth Trivelli, who is retiring at the end of this school year. Hall and her husband are the proud parents of three young children.
