Superintendent Sends Important COVID-19 Update on 9.02.20.

9/2/2020

Dear Parents or Guardians,

Today, we have been in contact with Summit County Public Health (SCPH) and it has been confirmed that two Hudson High School students and one Hudson Middle School student have tested positive for COVID-19. The middle school student has not been in school this week; however, both of the high school students were in school this week.

Per Summit County Public Health COVID-19 protocols and decision-making, the District is cooperating with SCPH in conducting contact tracing procedures and individuals who are considered primary contacts will be notified.

As the year progresses, you may learn about a “confirmed” COVID-19 case through friends, word of mouth, or social media, including specific names; however, Hudson City Schools will not be sharing any specific names due to HIPAA and FERPA laws.

We know that there are a lot of questions and concerns related to possible exposure to COVID-19 including isolation and quarantine requirements. Please refer to the Summit County Public Health Decision Tree for further guidance.

Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Phil Herman
