Letter from Akron Children's Hospital calls for Keeping Students Home When Ill as a Key Measure to Prevent the Spread of Germs!

November 4, 2020

Dear Parents and Guardians,

As the cold and flu season approaches, our schools will remain vigilant in their efforts to protect students and staff. Please be assured that the health and safety of students is our number one priority. Hudson City Schools continues to seek guidance from Summit County Public Health Department, the Ohio Department of Health, and the CDC to maintain up-to-date information.

The purpose of this letter from Akron Children's Hospital is to review the procedures required to return to school if your child is sick to help in the prevention and spread of COVID-19 and other illnesses such as influenza.

In addition, the Hudson City School District has updated the Hudson Ready Plan to reflect the October 19, 2020, transition to the All-in learning instructional model for students K-8, and decision-making strategies for transitions in learning instructional models going forward.

We are also starting to receive inquiries about travel over the holidays. To learn more about safe travel, visit the Ohio Department of Health Coronavirus webpage.

Thank you for your patience, grace, and understanding during the COVID-19 pandemic, and please keep your student home when ill to help prevent the spread of germs, and to help students and staff stay in school!
