6.8.21 Superintendent Phil Herman's Year-end Message to Parents!

6/8/2021

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Superintendent Phil Herman has released an end-of-school Monday Message. Please view the video as your leisure.

As part of the message, Phil addresses the mask policy for students and staff for summer programs and activities:

Masks

With the COVID orders being dropped for schools, beginning Monday, June 14, for all summer programs including HCER, athletics, ESY, and Summer School, masks will be optional. As a reminder, Summit County Public Health and the CDC continue to recommend that unvaccinated individuals wear masks. Additionally, a mask mandate remains in effect for all public transportation which includes school buses. So when students are traveling on a bus, they will be required to wear masks. Otherwise, masks will be optional and will not be required indoors or outdoors for all activities this summer. We will continue to monitor case rates and guidance from public health officials, and will communicate any changes, if necessary.

Please enjoy your summer, and have a safe and relaxing time with your family and friends!

Sincerely,

Hudson City Schools
