Food Service Change for 2022-23 School Year

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) is requiring school food services to return to typical pre-pandemic operations for the 2022-2023 school year.

This means the free meals the district has been providing for the past two years will come to an end.  We want to share that news now so families have time to prepare.

Despite rising food and labor costs, the district has decided not to raise the price of a school lunch for next school year.  Prices for school lunches will remain as follows:

McDowell, Ellsworth and East Woods: $2.75
Hudson Middle School & Hudson High School:  $3-$3.50

For the 2022-2023 school year, eligibility-based pricing will return, which means the cost of meals will be either paid/reduced/free.  The free/reduced meal applications will be required from families. They will be available after July 1, 2022.
