08/17/2020 - Superintendent Phil Herman's Monday Message

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Superintendent Phil Herman's Monday Message, 8.17.20, talks about what our teachers will be learning their first week back to school before students arrive, upcoming events such as online Open Houses, Open Building WalkAbouts, and Class Assignments and Schedules.

In addition, Phil addresses the preventative measures we are taking toward keeping our students and staff healthy, as well as, how we will notify parents when we are made aware of a confirmed positive case of COVID-19 by Summit County Public Health.

You are also encouraged to opt-out of transportation if you don't plan to have your child ride the bus. The VIP program is also looking for essential volunteers for specific jobs, including lunch aides, office helpers, HMS book store volunteers, and "outside" elementary greeters for the first day of school.

We are getting closer to starting school and we are excited about seeing our students in person and online!
